12x48 Mixed media on panel. Hidden poem: He sat beaming – eyes a gleaming What does he want? Why is he here? Such an ominous sight is he Makes me want to run screaming But somewhere deep within Glows a soul that can’t be denied Drawing me in, can’t help staring Dear God, how long has it been?
36x36" Acrylic and mixed media on canvas/paper. Handwritten by artist: "I dream of a bird. Big and black. Wings so black they shine purple. He rides my shoulder like a trained parrot. Then an invisible bird flies over casting a quick shadow. Where are we?" Embedded from Rumi: "Where are we?...
36x36" Acrylic and mixed media on canvas/paper. Handwritten by artist: "Take flight. Do not fear. Allow Love to be the wind beneath your wings, lifting you, flowing through you. Soar to new heights." Embedded from Rumi: "Birds make great sky-circles of their freedom. How do they learn it? They fall, and falling, they're given wings."
36x36" Acrylic and mixed media on canvas/paper. Embedded from Rumi "Would that you could live on the fragrance of the earth, and like an air plant be sustained by the light. 24" square, mixed media on canvas Lapin Agile is French for "Nimble Rabbit". There are many references to rabbits and moons - one that caught my attention is the story of Buddha disguising himself as a rabbit and sacrificing himself in fire to the god Indra. Buddha is rewarded with eternal life as the moon. Also the name of a play by Steve Martin. Einstein theory embedded at bottom.

Rescue Cat Series - Darci was the first in the series. She had such a cute face! She was adopted to a great home!
Rescue Cat Series - She was adopted by a woman who runs one of our dog rescue groups. She had the most beautiful china doll face.
Rescue Cat Series - Parker was found in Santa Fe and part of the Felines & Friends group. I fostered him for quite a while. He is an old skinny guy.
Rescue Cat Series - Tiki was a cute girl. I wanted to try alternative coloring on this one.
Rescue Cat Series - Zig Zag was a big fluffy yellow tabby in the shelter. One of my favorite faces. He was adopted to a great home!
Rescue Cat Series - Yahtzee would stand up and paw at the glass door of his kennel - like a dog. He was adopted to a great home!
